Synopsis: “The God loves caviar” is a sensational story of Ioannis Varvakis, who was a pirate in the Aegean Sea. He reached the court of Great Catherine of Russia and he extended his businesses beyond the coasts of the Caspian Sea. Finally, he went back to Greece where a civil war was in action during the national revolution in 1821. When he used to live in Russia, he became a very wealthy exporter of caviar. His ambitions outrun the limits. Varvakis faced several disasters which made him decide to give away his belongings and by the end of the story, gave himself to love.
